TriPoD

The TriPoD club brings together a diverse group of scientists from Duke, UNC, NC State, and local biotech companies who are passionate about designing new proteins with novel functions.

About

The Research Triangle region of North Carolina is home to world-class research institutions, including Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University. The region is known for its cutting-edge research in fields such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and information technology.

The TriPoD was formed in 2023 out of a shared interest and recognition that the protein engineering field is currently undergoing a revolution driven by deep-learning, biophysics, directed evolution, and other approaches. Members of the TriPoD have the opportunity to collaborate, share knowledge, and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. The club aims to facilitate discussions on protein design challenges and foster a supportive community to tackle them together.
